Staglands Wildlife Reserve & Cafe offers a unique and fun experience for people of all ages to feed and freely interact with birds and animals in an environment that has been created with nature’s materials. Staglands Wildlife Reserve is also a wonderful location to hold your next corporate event, wedding, family celebration, Christmas party, childrens birthday party, school visit, or special occasion. It’s a Wellington venue with a difference and we have amazing group and function facilities with The Barn and Café that are available for hire.
Conservation
Staglands Wildlife Reserve is actively involved in the conservation of threatened New Zealand native birds and rare breeds. These include the Blue Duck, NZ Bush Falcon, Kaka, Kea and the Kune Kune and Auckland Island Pigs. Liaison with the Department of Conservation helps to ensure their long term survival.
